Dr. Qadir

A patient-centered focus with compassionate, comprehensive medical and complementary treatments is the standard philosophy of Abdul Qadir, MD, a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist. At his practice, Regional Pain Care, in Pleasantville, New Jersey, Dr. Qadir has realized that standard allopathic (conventional) medicine alone is not always the best way to relieve chronic pain. Over the last 17 years in the fields of anesthesia and pain management, Dr. Qadir observed firsthand that his patients enjoyed the most pain relief when they underwent a combination of traditional medical treatments along with alternative therapies, such as acupuncture.

More than 17 years ago, Dr. Qadir completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. He went on to complete fellowship training in pain management so he could be dedicated to diagnosing and treating various complicated painful conditions, including reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) syndrome, and pain related to both cancer and noncancer chronic conditions. Dr. Qadir has a subspecialty certification in pain management and is also board-certified in medical acupuncture. He completed a yearlong acupuncture training program in affiliation with Stanford University in California.

This unique combination of experience and certifications in both allopathic and alternative medicine puts Dr. Qadir in a highly specialized category of medical experts. In addition to expertly diagnosing and treating chronic pain, Dr. Qadir also has a background and training for treating chronic, nonhealing wounds. During his career, he has worked at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, New Jersey, and Atlanticare Wound Healing Center in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

With an outstanding education, knowledge, and experience, Dr. Qadir believes in listening to his patients and providing the highest standard of medical care in a compassionate environment. He takes the time to talk about potential solutions for chronic pain with a personal, individualized approach.
